I am a user research lead and a UX and design lecturer at the Open University. I was until very recently the Head of User Research at Ofsted where I have built a brand-new user research function and oversaw multiple research projects and user researchers working in agile teams, built capability, reach and influence of the user research community. I am also an expert and academic reviewer for funding bodies and journal papers.
I have over 10 years of experience of developing, leading and championing qualitative, mixed methods and creative research projects in central government, academia, the NHS and local government to address complex problems and research needs. I have also worked as a UX designer.
I completed my PhD from the University of Warwick in the field of digital health, user experience and health improvement.
