I have worked as a Consultant anaesthetist in North Cumbria since 2006 and  am proud to be part of Health Foundation Generation Q Cohort 9.  I have a longstanding interest in patient safety, collaborative multi-professional working across organisational interfaces and have a range of leadership roles reflecting these interests.   I am committed to development of a culture of learning and not blame from incidents, seeing a Human Factors based approach to investigation as the way forward, and that breaking down inter-professional barriers learn together is part of this process. I am a Trustee for the Clinical Human Factors Group charity @clinicalHF.
