Richard is the Deputy Director of Improvement and leads the Improvement and Knowledge Service for Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, active in both cultural and system change. He has held a verity of roles in the National Health Service since joining in 1999, in 2018 he became a Non-Executive Director of the Institute for Continuous Improvement in Public Services.

He has demonstrated the ability to build relationships in complex and dynamic environments, working on key projects at local, regional and national level. He has a significant ability to create a group environment where people work together to achieve solutions, generate strategy or develop new group cohesion.
