Hi all, I’m a General Surgery Registrar from Bristol and new member of the Q community.
Thank you for accepting me into this group! I need your advice: on Saturday the 26th of September we are running the largest free virtual QI conference (QISW) with support from the Academic Health Science Network and some Q community members. The aim is to make Quality Improvement more accessible and bring together all healthcare professionals and students.
There are 20 prizes up for grabs (www.qisw.uk/prizes) and some amazing keynote speeches from international leaders discussing QI themes (announcements start this week).
There are 15 workshops/micro courses with certificates and CPD (some from the amazing Q community).
Due to some technical difficulties the abstract deadline has been extended for a week till the 5th of September. (We are taking abstracts from all allied healthcare professionals and students and have a team to help guide the submission process – abstracts@qisw.uk). We have put all the information we can on http://www.qisw.uk, and have some promotional content on twitter @QISouthwest and on YouTube https://youtu.be/uTwQVMfHZP4
I could really use a hand spreading this to all the trusts, we have emailed and called every single trust in the UK and have had only 20 replies from the 291 English, 18 Scottish, 8 Welsh and 5 Northern Irish directed emails we have sent out! Please can you help me spread this to people within your networks or please direct me towards people who can get this out there. I promise that this will be an amazing worthwhile event and would love to see you all there!
I’ve attached the poster to this post and am keen to listen to anyone who has ideas or feedback! We want QI to be accessible and we want everyone at our conference!
Shared and tagged on twitter and a few emails sent. Looks great!
Thank you so much Jane!
Hi Michael,
This sounds great, and I’m happy to try to share with my trust by email – have you got a standard email i can edit and send to the QI / Med Ed folks?
Sorry i’m slow replying.
I will retweet also from @sarahcwalpole
Best,
Sarah
