Ever since I became a doctor, I have been passionate about improving the outcome for patients in my care, whether that be in the emergency or elective setting. I am a Scottish Improvement Leadership graduate and have now worked on two national improvement projects. The first was the national implementation of Enhanced Recovery in Orthopaedics. More recently I am one of the national clinical leads for the Emergency Laparotomy and Laparoscopy Scotland Audit (ELLSA).
