I had a 40 year career in the NHS, having worked s a Nurse, Midwife and Health Visitor & currently still hold a nursing registration.

I have held senior leadership positions at a regional level and since 2013 at a national level, principally these have been focussed around improving patient experience, patient and public participation, volunteering and patient-centric strategic development and improvement.

I have worked with over 40 NHS Trust Boards to support then to ensure patients sit at the heart of decision making, and have actively promoted the principles of co-production and co-design within quality and service improvement.
