I am Clinical Scientist supporting the MRI service in NHS Highland and working in other areas of non-ionising radiation protection. I have been a representative of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) for a number of UK Joint Working Groups on and am a former chair of the IPEM MR-SIG. He has a keen interest in MRI patient safety, clinical image optimisation and in applying innovative methods for patient preparation in MRI. I am a former awardee of the Health Foundation Innovating for Improvement Grant developing the virtual reality app "My MRI" to prepare children for their MRI scan.
