Jacqui has a joint appointment as Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Southampton and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Her academic and clinical work focuses on implementing evidence-informed infection prevention practice to reduce avoidable healthcare-associated infections. She is particularly interested in reducing catheter-associated urinary tract infection and delivering preventative fundamental care. Jacqui is an alumna of the NIHR 70@70 Senior Nurse and Midwife Research Leaders Programme (2019-22) and continues to provide leadership to strengthen the nursing and midwifery contribution to research in NHS organisations. Currently, she is Deputy Editor of the Journal of Infection Prevention and is a member of the NHSE review group for Transmission Based Precautions definitions.
