Some starters for you QMS design
1. Clinically lead.
2. Service user focus.
3. All documentation in digital format.
4. All data collection to be digital and in a suitable format for AI applications (PAD).
5. All process reviews will include Human Factors analysis and risk assessment.
6. Designed using Systems Thinking.
7. Integrated with IT Systems. -

I’m currently assisting an NHS Trust to design and implement a QMS to the requirements of BS ISO 7101:2023. Although I have done this previously to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 this is a first for me in healthcare. Taking logical steps is important and testing each stage of the design in practice will save time later on in the project.…Read more

Hi Matt – your point about ‘chronicling the journey’ make me wonder who is currently out there who is taking a real ‘Working out Loud’ approach to their QMS journey: sharing next steps, asking for help with challanges etc in a public and connected way.
