The clue is in the name – a QMS is not a QMS if it doesn’t include a management system. Join the Sig webinar of the 15th of this month. It will be fun! Do you know the difference between Management and a management system? Join us on the 15th and find out.
Looking forward to joining this event, John! Are you also going to share your insights re. BS ISO 7101 please?
Yes, BS ISO 7101 will be a play a key part of my response to questions and discussion. Your input will be valuable – line up some questions and offer some solutions.
Hi Tom would love to hear your view on iso 7101 and also wanted to see how 7101 and IMS approach fit with with each other, the system is so complex and how we can embed these standards without overwhelming clinical teams on the ground in practice in the real world.
Once the structure of the management system is understood (many many UK organisations already use it) by the NHS thing become less complex, particularly because it is based on what we do every day at work. I’ve just been reading ‘Joshua’s Story’ by James Titcombe. An awful story. The chance of this story repeating it’s self must be prevented. HF could help but the only solution is Process Management. This is a key element of BS ISO 7101:2023. I know this will hard for the NHS, particularly because those with the most influence reject this, but it is the only solution. Also included in the MS is learning from error by changing what you do.
