Recent SIG Discussion – “Good Practice in Wound Management in Community Hospitals”

Sally Oxley, Clinical Lead, spoke about her experience of developing a outpatient wound care clinic. The clinic runs 7 days a week, and sees an average of 50 patients a day. Patients range from those with post operative wounds, trauma and pressure ulcers. Patients are of all ages. Sally spoke of audits and research, and extending the training and skillsets of staff.  Jenita Loheswaran Nursing Associate also spoke about her role and development in the clinic.
