  • It was great to see and meet many of you at the Q Lab workshop last week. Here are the slides from the day: https://q.health.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Q-Lab-workshop-slides-21-September-2023.pdf

For people who came along – what has stayed with you most from the session?

    • Thanks Libby, was a great day and so useful to meet all involved.
The Flow Academy talks in particular were excellent and gave our team more insight into elective pathway management and understanding the determinants of flow.
We hope to undertake a Troika at work sometime soon too!

    • A great set of slides illustrating Lab work to date. I really do think that you are missing a trick if you don’t try some Process Management at one of your test sites. A good starting point is to do some process mapping using the Busyfish approach. This method is very simple and arrives at consensus on process in the shortest time. I can volunteer help if any help is required. Even if you don’t try process mapping you could have a look at how it works.

    • Hi Libby, Being a reflector this is my delayed response! A few weeks on and I still reflect on the immense knowledge and inspiring passion from Q-Lab teams to improve services for patients. Learning from them has helped me embark on a very different engagement approach with my own system. It was an extremely valuable day and thank everyone (organisers and contributors) for sharing so many fantastic insights!
