I’m looking for a front line Team, Workgroup or small Department to join with me in a Q Exchange idea. The recently updated (April 2021) Health Foundation guide ‘Quality improvement made simple – What everyone should know about health care quality improvement’ talks a lot about ‘process’, ‘performance variation’ and ‘standard practice’. Process mapping is given as a method that can be used to ‘understand the problem’. The Q Exchange idea is to map all the key processes undertaken by the team, workgroup or department to represent work ‘as done’. The resulting set of process maps can then be used to identify a series of Quality Improvement (QI) projects. If you are interested in joining me in the idea please get in touch with me.
From what I last heard, Q exchange should open in the early part of 2022. So it’s definitely a good time to start putting ideas out there and to look for collaborators. Good luck @thomasjohnrose. It sounds like a simple idea that has the potential to demonstrate the power of process mapping.
