Good to see more support for GP in QI. However I’m concerned that care homes are a blind spot within this. Care homes have been a major source of debate within PCN. Because they are separate organisations, QI is likely to be quite different from most other GP / NHS projects. Therefore it is reasonable to expect special attention, effort and investment in QI support.
You won’t be surprised to read that this is a topic I am currently studying – so I’d appreciate any views and I will share our realist literature review in the coming months….
