Hi folks. I’ve submitted an idea for the Q Exchange that I think might be of interest to this group membership and I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas. Basically, I think we are crying out for some good quality online QI simulations and games to support us in the transition of virtual working. The vast majority of the material QI teams currently use doesn’t translate terribly well on Zoom or MS Teams (e.g. paper airplane, Mr Potato Head, bead games, flow simulations etc). There has been a lot of shared learning in the QI community about this recently, but I get the impression we’re mostly using workarounds that are still fairly clunky. These compromise the learning experience and tend to be time consuming for everyone involved. A suite of web-based simulations/games, designed to allow groups to work and learn together could have wide applicability and support cross-system learning and collaboration. The idea is posted here: https://q.health.org.uk/idea/2020/virtual-qi-simulations-and-games-supporting-online-learning/

    • Hi all. We’ve had a really enthusiastic response to our Q exchange idea about developing digital games and simulations to support QI training. We’ve set up a short survey to gather some greater understand of how people are currently dealing with this challenge and also what you all need from a platform like this. If you have a moment, please take the survey and circulate it through your networks:

You can also use the survey to let us know if you would like to be part of the user group involved in developing this idea. We would love to hear from you!
