This trust is mobilising all nurse and AHP staff to IP care and standing down all OP appts to allow this. This is supported by training and preparation for potentially a very different way for working for a period of time. A likely model will be a multi-disciplinary ward team of nurse, AHP and pharmacist. Changes will also shape the D2A model out of necessity rather than planned design. A QI opportunity needs to balance with the current focus on managing anxiety about staff’s own & family health, PPE levels and workloads with a high absence rate. We are getting ready!
