Biography

Tehmeena is a penultimate year Acute Medicine Registrar in North, Central and East London (HEE NCEL).  She graduated from St Georges, University of London in 2008. During this time, she undertook an Intercalated BSc in Basic Medical Sciences and Clinical Genetics, gaining a First Class (Hons) degree.  Last year, Tehmeena undertook a Darzi Fellowship, developing organisational Quality Improvement capability. During this year she established an Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School Chapter, led quality improvement training programmes and developed several improvement projects across the trust. Tehmeena founded and co-chaired the North Central and East London Quality Improvement Board. As part of this board, she organised the inaugural regional QI conference for 2016. She also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership in Healthcare at Leeds Business School. In 2015, Tehmeena was awarded the prestigious Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to explore the Hospitalist model of care in the USA. Tehmeena is trainee representative for HEE NCEL and is also co-organiser of the Pan-London Acute Medicine Network (PLAN).
