I originally qualified as a Social Worker by the University of La Laguna, in the Canary Islands, Spain. During my time there I led on a project around integration of people with disability in the labour market. Findings from that project are still being implemented to this day in strategies developed by the foundation (Funcasor) to support people with disabilities into the labour market.
Following this, I moved to London where I started working in the health and social care sector in a PICU unit as a healthcare support worker, not long after I was promoted to senior healthcare support worker and there I started working on quality audits and leading on the implementation of changes promoting safer practices in the ward.
Since then I have been working in a community Integrated Care Service in Kensington and Chelsea. Since 2020, I have gone from starting in the basics of QI methodologies, to practising by leading in two different projects, all the way to becoming part of the first Quality Coach trained cohort of coaches at CLCH NHS Trust, supporting other teams with their QI projects coaching as they develop and implement their improvement ideas.
After that, I joined CNWL NHS Foundation Trust, working as an Improvement Coach for over a year leading on the entry QI training level (Bitesize QI). I also had the pleasure to coach several teams in their improvement projects while also delivering in the rest of the QI training levels.
Currently, I work as an Improvement Advisor at the London Ambulance Service.
