    Hi all,

This is just a quick introduction – My name is Rachel and I am the Green Ward Programme Manager with the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. I run a competition for healthcare teams, supporting them to design, implement and measure sustainable quality improvement projects.

I am relatively new to the Q community and brand new to this forum. I’m looking forward to connecting and learning with you all.

    Rachel

    • Hi Rachel, nice to meet you.
It would be great to hear more about your work if you have any success stories to share?

      • Hi Michael, nice to meet you too.
Definitely – you can read previous Green Ward competition case studies on our webpage (towards the bottom of the page) – https://sustainablehealthcare.org.uk/green-ward-competition
Our first competition of 2022 is wrapping up and the team case studies will be available from the 23rd May.

If there was a lot of interest from others in this group to hear about Green Ward, we could potentially arrange an event and bring previous team members to share their projects, outcomes and experiences. For now though, my colleague Siobhan has just posted about a two-part Q exchange series on embedding sustainability into quality improvement (part one into healthcare education and part two into NHS trusts). Details of the events will be shared very soon if you are interested to attend!

        Best wishes,
        Rachel

    • Thanks so much for this Rachel, had a quick look and will look through properly when I have some time. Great to see our neighbors (Royal Devon & Exeter) on the list!
      Thanks again.

      • No problem, and yes – Royal Devon & Exeter have actually held two competitions! Both had great savings – the 2019 competition teams also developed posters along with their case studies – if short on time they will give you a quicker look at their project aims, outcomes and learning.
        Best wishes,
        Rachel
