Qualified social worker registered with NISCC and currently working in the field of children's disability services in Northern Ireland with a health and social care trust. Responsible for co-production and creating and developing new respite services to support families including fostering, community based activities and residential. Also responsible for a community social work team, Transition Planning Team, Community Access Team and Short Breaks Team. I have published 3 x journal articles on disability and working with social work students in international publications. My work has been recognised by the Institute of Healthcare Management (Research Led Management Award), NICON, HSJ Value Awards, NI Social Work Awards and the HSCB Research Conference. I am passionate about raising the profile of children's disability services and  social work via critical evaluation and finding out what works and why. I encourage  improvement and innovation in staff challenging bureaucracy where appropriate to facilitate transformation of services and practice using a research base.
