I wanted to let you know that the Ambulance Q group have been shortlisted in the Q Exchange 2019. Naturally, I am delighted and wanted to bring it to attention of the Technology group, as we intend to use part of the funding for technology. The technology aspect is largely around improving skills in digital media and social media – to enhance communication of improvement (sharing learning). It would be great to gather your insight and thoughts on this part of the project as it develops; it would be great if you can support this idea through the Q Exchange voting process.

Over recent years, Ambulance Services across the UK have been changing the way we work together to improve our services. Ambulance staff from across our services, from the frontline to executive level, have collaborated to build an improvement focussed ambulance community focussed on delivering initiative projects and improvements.

The Q Community’s #AmbulanceQ group has been shortlisted to develop the #AmbulanceQ community and enhance working across boundaries – between ambulance services, ambulance & hospital, and ambulance & specialist and community services.

The #AmbulanceQ Q Exchange 2019 Bid will provide UK ambulance staff an opportunities to integrate and explore ‘ways of working’ from other areas of the UK, and healthcare settings. These across-boundary exploratory visits will generate creativity and basis for improvement projects within the #AmbulanceQ group. As part of this, we will be brining interested Ambulance colleagues to a UK-wide Improvement-design conference in 2020! And, we will be training key staff in digital & social media to enhance our ability to share and learn about improvement from across the healthcare sector.
