After a long career in pharmaceutical manufacturing management embedding continuous quality improvement, I joined the NHS to start a career focussing on Quality improvement and Qi methodologies in an unfamiliar environment. This further ignited my passion for improvement as the thing that connects my 2 careers and all the colleagues I work with now is Quality and the drive to constantly improve.
Not having "grown up" in the NHS lends itself to being able to step back, reframe the problem and hold the mirror up to those who can really make a difference. This is what I really enjoy, being able to facilitate those who can make a difference to make the difference in a challenging environment.
