I am an occupational therapist working within the NHS. I work at the Oliver Zangwill Centre offering neuropsychological rehabilitation to adults following Acquired Brain Injury. I have clinical and research interests in fatigue management and outcome measurement following non-progressive acquired brain injury. I am currently refining a clinical model and developing a screening tool and toolkit of resources to support fatigue management in this clinical population.
I am a member of the College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section Neurological Practice NEC and Chair of the Brain Injury Forum committee. We have published a guidance document to support occupational therapists working with people with brain injury.
Currently I am involved in updating standard operating procedures and developing service evaluation processes to include both quantitative and qualitative data collection within our service. We have a service user group who meet quarterly with whom we consult and engage in our service delivery and research proposals.
I am also involved in a national working group to define and support commissioning of services for people with cognitive and neurobehavioural needs across the integrated care pathway.
