I’ve recently returned from maternity leave so catching up with activities in this group. As a reminder I work for the sustainable procurement team at NHSE. More of my work this year will be focused on Social Value. Social Value allows the NHS to make patients’ lives and the communities they live in better through what we buy and the way we manage contracts, driving the supply chain to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits alongside their commercial commitments.

I wondered if this is a term group members are familiar with in/outside of procurement? We’re in the process of updating our guidance and our plan is to do more networking across a broader range of groups. I have some meetings coming up with local councils and anchors – any other suggestions would be welcome!
