Hello all! I’m a medical registrar working at the British Medical Journal as a sustainability fellow. As part of this I’m working on a series of education articles on practical actions people can take to practice more sustainably. The aim of these is to either be changes to immediate practice or an idea for a QI project you could implement. These will be short articles (~500 words) that will hopefully make a resource that people can pick up easily to make it easy for them to start reducing the environmental impact of healthcare. Importantly, they can’t just be a write up of a case study that has not been published elsewhere, the action would need to be based on some type of evidence: be it guidelines, published literature elsewhere, or some other type of evidence base. If you have an idea that you think would work, or want to chat more then please drop me an email fwedmore@bmj.comOr if you’d like to be part of a working group to ensure that we cover the most suitable topics (time commitment ~1-2 hours, on off) then again drop me an email. I know there is so much expertise in groups like this so I’d be keen to make the most of that as possible!
