Max has currently redeployed to help the fight against COVID-19 to the NHS in London, Including the Nightingale Hospital and the Nightingale Training Faculty. He will return to NHS Corporate Medical leadership afterwards: CQC Specialist Advisor - Medical Director level well led reviews. Hon. Consultant in Oral Surgery. Local Government, Vice Chair Adult Health and Social Care Scrutiny.

Biography

Max looks for every opportunity to implement Quality Improvements in delivery of patient care and population health. In addition to being a patient's champion, he is an innovative senior clinical leader with over 20 years of consolidated experience in the NHS and the independent sectors. He continuously applies his solid Clinical Management, Medicine and Dentistry backgrounds to help better serve the local population. He has developed a portfolio of competencies upto Deputy Medical Director in some of the largest Acute NHS Trusts in England, as  a Consultant in Oral Surgery and as a Vice Chair for Adult Health and Social Care in Local Government.

Max has worked on several NHS Transformational Change and Improvement Projects to shape new ways of working.The most  recent work introduced 24 Physicians Associate training places in the North East London health economy in 2017. He has also scoped the introduction of Whole Stay Physicians or Hospitalists who care for patients from admission to discharge. They are effective in increasing patient satisfaction, reducing length of stay and costs.

Max has also led quality improvement projects on a background of cost improvement pressures in previous posts. Whilst at King’s College Hospital from 2009-2014 he founded and developed three services The Medically Complex Unit; The Labial Gland Biopsy one stop clinic and The Head & Neck Ultrasound Guided Procedure Clinic. Using an iterative process of Plan, Do, Study, Act, the services developed and improved without increase in costs.

Max implements process, policy and recommendations from quantitative & qualitative data to improve patient flow, satisfaction and experience. @DrMaxChauhan
