Joanne Powell – Senior Improvement Manager, Improvement Cymru. Joanne has worked in the NHS since 2002 throughout a number of administrative roles throughout Secondary and Community Care.

In 2013, she embarked on a career of Quality Improvement within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supporting many improvement programmes across the health board in delivering patient flow and effective communication for teamwork.  During 2017, she commenced the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Advisor Professional Development Programme and successfully graduated in April 2018 as an Improvement Advisor.

Joanne joined 1000 Lives in January 2019 where she continued to utilise her improvement experience and skills to support and deliver on programmes such as Care Home Cymru.

This allowed her to understand the wider Health and Social Care sector whilst delivering and building Quality Improvement capacity and capability.  More recently, Joanne supported a Health Board with Real Time Demand Capacity pilot and continues to support the Safe Care Together Strategy.
