Biography

 
Jason Hancock is a higher specialist trainee in old age and general adult psychiatry.
 
He has an interest in improving the physical health of people with mental illness and is working to develop an intervention (LiveWellCloz) aiming to improve the physical health monitoring for people in the community taking Clozapine. He is currently completing his Masters dissertation in applied health services research which is an evaluation of the acceptability of the LiveWellCloz intervention through qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals and patients.
 
Jason has also developed and delivered a regional quality improvement training package for core psychiatry trainees. 
 
Jason plans to continue working in clinical practice and develop his health services research interests. He is keen to meet others applying health services research in the mental health setting, particularly for interventions that improve physical health of our patients.
