I am an academic biomedical scientist with experience across the NHS and within higher education.
Following a 20-year career as a biomedical scientist within NHS pathology laboratories I now work as an academic lecturer in biomedical science and course leader for healthcare science.
My interest is in developing and integrating the role of biomedical scientists (and the wider laboratory medicine community) into efficient and effective patient care through promoting diagnostic stewardship and adding value to laboratory investigations. This interest spans quality improvement, evidence-based practice and the development of a research-aware, innovative workforce.
