Biography

I am an experienced and dedicated clinical pharmacist, deeply committed to enhancing patient care and outcomes. Over the course of my career spanning more than a decade, I have successfully merged my clinical expertise with a strategic mindset to influence transformative projects within healthcare settings. My unique ability to bridge the gap between practice and vision has led to notable achievements in optimising pharmacy services, outpatient care, and elective procedure recovery.

Notable programmes & contributions:

  • NHS England & Health Education England – Bowel Cancer Screening Services Workforce Support Programme: Collaboratively designed a strategic pathway for clinical personnel development within BCS services, across 8 NHS Trusts in the London Region.
  • Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust – Outpatient Improvement Programme: Spearheaded initiatives resulting in a remarkable 5% increase in Booked Utilisation, 2.5% boost in Attendance, and 3% improvement in Capacity Utilisation. Notably reduced DNA by 1.35%, enhancing patient access and streamlining clinic scheduling.
  • Cheshire & Merseyside - Endoscopy Services Planning and Productivity Review: Reviewed planning and productivity across 9 NHS Trusts, offering recommendations for increased efficiency and transformation. Developed and implemented strategies for improved capacity utilisation and scheduling practices.
  • NHS Improvement & NHS England – South East Region – Elective Recovery Support Programme: Collaborated with NHS England to evaluate and enhance theatre productivity in 6 acute NHS Trusts across the South East of England.

These endeavors highlight my passion for driving impactful change and my ability to create and lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency and patient care. In addition to these accomplishments, I am proud to have:

  • Worked on the design and execution of the remote bowel-prep service initiative, spanning a 20-mile radius and an endoscopy department performing over 10,000 procedures annually in collaboration with UHCW NHS Trust and SWFT.
  • Establishment and operational launch of pharmacy services within the new £21.85 million private hospital at Pebble Mill, Birmingham.
  • Support NHS Trusts/partners nationwide, in the rollout of ePMA solutions – electronic prescribing platforms – as a vital component of the UK government's healthcare sector digitisation initiative.
  • Played a crucial part in an international drug procurement initiative, resulting in a $19 million cost reduction across Canadian and US procurement channels.

Joining the Q initiative, I look forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals who share a passion for driving positive transformation in healthcare.
