I joined the Trust as the Quality Improvement Officer for National Audits on the 5th February 2018. I’d previously worked in the Energy sector as a change manager and so I brought a number of transferrable skills to the role. I am passionate about improving patient outcomes through QI/Clinical Audit & have relished the opportunity to support all the Divisions & Specialties at my Trust in ensuring that we both participate in the National Audits & crucially, learn from their findings & make meaningful change which improves outcomes for our patients. We don’t just want to do audit, we want to do it well & be an example of excellence amongst our peers, as well as improving the experience and outcome of patients. This is paramount in contributing to our journey towards being an outstanding NHS trust.

In addition to my role at Sherwood Forest I am also the chair of the East Midland Clinical Audit and improvement network as well as a member of the RCEM Quality Improvement commitee.
