CPOC is currently out for public consultation on a draft medical curriculum in perioperative care and we want your views! The consultation closes 01 November. 

CPOC has been commissioned by NHS England to develop a medical fellowship in perioperative care for medical specialists, in order to help meet the significant demand on surgical services in managing complex patients across their perioperative journey.

The purpose of the curriculum is to describe the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for senior doctors to manage and enable the holistic care of a patient preparing for and recovering from surgery. The intention is that doctors from multiple medical disciplines will be able to participate in the Fellowship programme in order to develop expertise in leading perioperative care teams.
