I was reviewing some data on shared decision making (SDM) and its relevance and importance this morning.
With waiting lists still far too large, despite the amazing work carried out by clinicians, nurses and all the wonderful healthcare colleagues in the NHS, there has never been a more important time to support SDM. Patients really benefit from having real choice with risks, alternatives and benefits explained.
