Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on good training courses/webinars/resources for statistics. I’m looking to start running more audits and carry out more indepth data analysis on outcomes of new pathways and innovations in our SLT department.
My current stats training is a single module at uni and some very basic google assisted decipering of Pearson correllation/Spearman Rank etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions for learning opportunities to boost my stats skills and knowledge? thanks!
Hi,
I asked your question to the regional connectors to see if they had any ideas…
This book by Andy Field was recommended if you are interested in SPSS for epidemiology and research.

He also has a whole YouTube channel and I just lost a bit of time to statistics explained by dancing!

Other advice-
My first port of call would be the local data analyst team
Might be helpful to have some general knowledge in medical stats too, again another book
If they have the finances and the access then I’d go for R as this is widely used in population health and actuarial science
But largely depends on the expected outcomes…
