At this month’s webinar we will be joined by guest speaker Dr Carol Keen, Consultant Physiotherapist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Carol will be sharing details of ‘Active Together’, which is is a cancer prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that was established in Sheffield in 2022 and has since expanded to other sites in South Yorkshire, seeing almost 3000 patients in that time.
This presentation will outline the Active Together service model and present the results of an initial evaluation of the service, including clinical outcome, healthcare utilisation and qualitative findings.

The Perioperative Care-Prehabilitation group is hosted by Macmillan Cancer Support and the Centre for Perioperative Care (CPOC), a partnership between health charities, professional organisations, patient organisations and several leading Royal Colleges. The focus of this group is on prehabilitation and rehabilitation, specifically supporting and optimising peoples’ physical and mental health in advance of, during and beyond treatment for cancer and other long-term conditions.
