Join us to explore how the Health Innovation Network South London is tackling complex challenges in maternity and neonatal care. This workshop aligns with the Maternity and Neonatal Safety Improvement Programme (MatNeoSIP) and focuses on the relational aspects of delivering safety improvement work.
Workshop highlights
Led by Hebe Davies-Colley and Karen Ang, this interactive session will guide maternity and neonatal teams in driving meaningful improvements in patient safety and care quality. Participants will engage in discussions, role-play, and practical exercises to navigate the challenges of implementation.

Speakers
Hebe Davies-Colley is a Senior Project Manager and the Maternity and Neonatal Programme Lead at the Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London. Hebe is a registered midwife and has extensive experience across clinical maternity settings in London and the Midlands. She holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt qualification and previously served as a governance and quality improvement (QI) midwife in a London tertiary hospital, leading multiple clinical QI initiatives. At the Health Innovation Network South London, she oversees maternity and neonatal patient safety projects across south London, supporting clinical teams in sustainable QI practices through leadership, facilitation, and collaboration.
Karen Ang is a Senior Project Manager within the Patient Safety Team at the HIN South London. She currently leads the Perinatal Culture and Leadership Programme for South London Trusts. Fostering environments where people feel empowered to drive change collectively has been the guiding principle behind her operational and transformation roles. Karen has also worked in healthcare research and national organisations which developed a particular interest in evidence-based approaches to improvement. Karen is a QSIR Practitioner, holds an MSc in Healthcare Leadership, and has been privileged to work with teams on award-winning change programmes and academic publications.
