Nurturing and weaving networks

Tools, ideas and resources to help support people working in health and care improvement with working across multiple networks.

This resource includes a poster, a toolkit and a guide to network weaving, bringing together a variety of tools, resources and ideas to help support health and care networks and the people who build and bridge them.

About this toolkit

Network weaving is vital for building thriving networks and fostering collaboration for action.

A collaborative environment fosters not only professional growth but also innovation and creativity, which are key to improving health care systems and outcomes.

Building on June Holley’s Network Weaving theories, these tools and resources are designed to help facilitate thriving networks.

A Network Weaver is someone who is aware of the networks around them and explicitly works to make them healthier (more inclusive, bridging divides). Network Weavers do this by connecting people strategically where there is potential for mutual benefit, helping people identify their passions, and serving as a catalyst for self-organising groups.
