Designing virtual workshops

We have developed a checklist for things to consider when planning and delivering virtual workshops, drawing on our knowledge and experience in the Q team.

Drawing on our knowledge and experience as a team, Q have developed some simple resources to support people designing virtual meetings and workshops.

We have identified five principles that are useful to consider:

  • Have a clear purpose and determine the mode you want people to be in, for each individual activity
  • Make sure everyone can contribute and engage in activities
  • Accommodate for reduced attention spans, and different learning styles
  • Take advantage of technology, when it feels right
  • Prepare

To apply these principles in practice, we have developed a checklist of things to consider when planning and delivering workshops.
