Presented at the annual NICE conference, the Awards offer a high profile platform to showcase high quality examples where NICE guidance and standards have been used to change and improve local services.

This year, Mansfield District Council won the Awards for their ASSIST hospital discharge scheme which by implementing NICE guidance on transition has not only improved patient experience but also realised savings through improved transfer of care for the NHS locally. On winning the Awards, Mansfield District Council Acting Chief Executive Hayley Barsby said: “Being recognised by healthcare professionals is a real privilege and makes our contribution to improving patient care even more rewarding, we encourage innovative projects to submit to NICE so that we can share knowledge and best practice”.
