This is an example of the particular A3 format I was taught by one particular external consultancy. I visited a Hospital Trust where they had worked extensively with front line staff. Multiple A3s were posted around the room and served as an impressive visual record of the extent of the impact that staff had had on their processes. A3s serve not just as project documentation to document before, during, after, the reason for making a change, the root causes of issues, what remedial actions are planned and record metrics but as tools to tell a story on a page. They are living documents which are owned by staff who are implementing change themselves in their own areas.
