Jointly organised by the Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group Care Home Vanguard and the Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria, this conference offers the opportunity to find out more about innovative new approaches to improving the health and care of frail older people.

The event is aimed at anyone with an interest in the health, wellbeing and care of frail older people including health and social care practitioners, commissioner and provider organisations, older people and their carers, voluntary organisations, universities, and industry.

We will be showcasing a wide range of improvement initiatives through a mix of plenary sessions and workshops. Confirmed speakers include Dr Dawn Moody (Associate National Clinical Director for Older People and Integrated Person-Centred Care for NHS England), Professor John Young (Professor of Elderly Care Medicine, University of Leeds) and regional Vanguard leads.

There will be the opportunity to network and meet people with shared interests.

There will also be the option to showcase your own work in a poster display. The deadline for this has now passed.
