Q in the West Masterclass: Personal Impact with Jem Wall

The West of England AHSN will be hosting the third in a run of Personal Impact Masterclasses with the highly esteemed actor, Jem Wall. Back by popular demand, the masterclass is expertly tailored on the day to the needs of the Qs in the room. The small group of 12 delegates will work on their internal and external confidence and how to combat the ever-present nerves when presenting to colleagues.

At the beginning of the masterclass Jem draws upon his experience from acting workshops to ‘break the ice’. I’m sure you all know how to count to 3, but when you’re doing this in pairs and Jem decides to change numbers for claps, clicks and stomps things become a little more difficult! Throughout the day the delegates will be shown how to listen to their audience, how to interact with the crowd, how to look confident (even if you don’t feel it!) and the theory and models used by effective speakers.
Past delegates have enjoyed this day as they have been able to really put their learning in to practice. Using fun techniques, Jem draws the best out in every Q wanting to learn how to present with confidence.
