Healthcare Improvement Scotland are delighted to announce that this month’s session is with Anna Roth, CEO of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. The session on 27 July 2017, 4-5pm (UK time) is definitely one not to be missed!

Anna Roth’s professional journey as CEO of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center is hardly traditional. In fact few things about her 25-year career and management of the medical center and its 11 ambulatory clinics and detention healthcare.

A high school drop-out, Anna entered the health care industry as a community-college trained nurse at the same public hospital she now runs. Impressed by the resilience and passion of her patients and colleagues, she committed herself to earning a Masters in Nursing Administration from the University of California, San Francisco, and Masters in Public Health, from Harvard University.

Anna is an Institute for Healthcare Improvement, International Improvement Fellow. She serves on a variety of regional, state and national boards and is past chair of the Essential Hospitals Institute and the California Health Care Safety Net Institute.

Anna’s reputation for innovation stems from a deep respect for the people that rely on and run the health care system. She is committed to engaging frontline staff and end users as full partners in delivery system redesign. Most importantly, the efforts of Anna and her team have dramatically improved the lives and wellbeing of people living in Contra Costa County and beyond.
