Tools and resources to help support Networks and Network leaders

Having access to a suite of resources and a dedicated space for learning and sharing with peers is immensely beneficial for Network Leaders. In the fast-paced and ever-evolving field of healthcare, staying informed and connected is crucial. A collaborative environment fosters not only professional growth but also innovation and creativity, which are key to improving healthcare systems and outcomes. By pooling our collective knowledge and experiences, we can co-create solutions that are both dynamic and value-driven.

  • Hi everyone

As you may know Q has been working hard on putting together a new website, sadly documents cannot be carried over. I have spent the morning going over those I shared and removed them. But I have them saved so if anyone was looking for something specific that has been deleted let me know

Networks offer space to inspire, support and help reenergise each other. • Combining tools and resources and network weaving groups

There was no opposition put forward for this, in face any feedback offered was enthusiastic. As you may know we are moving to a new website, the proposal being that on the new site there will be one group, for now calling it Network Weaving makes sense as it incorporates tools and…Read more

    • When the new website comes along, the groups will be merged 🙂

      I’m looking forward!

    • I wonder how the network weaving learning series group may feel about also merging? As you know, this was set up for those who attended the learning series, I just wonder to focus a space for those interested in network weaving if we have one space people can go to? Active members in those other spaces could meet via a CoP if they wanted their own…Read more

  • Combining tools and resources for networks and network leaders and network weaving groups

    Hi everyone

So far responses to combining the two groups has been really positive. Can I suggest then unless anyone has any objections, we move to having one group on the subject of network weaving? as I currently convene the tools and resources group as a…Read more

  • Bring some optimism to gatherings

Often our meetings and networks focus on the challenges, which is understandable. Being optimistic does not mean we do not see challenges, it just means we invest the little energy we have exploring solutions/mitigating the impact. This wee postcard which you can download and edit offers ideas to be more…Read more

  • Update on combining groups

The thread below shows the evolving conversation, thanks also to those who emailed me directly. There does seem real interest in combining the groups. We are exploring how we create a space/also offer a poll to capture views and decide on next steps forward. This also offers a chance to review what we want from this…Read more

Combining tools and resources and network weaving groups

Just to offer an update, there seems interest in combining groups, we just need to be mindful of language as there are other groups which use terms and could cause confusion e.g. Human Factors.

I sense there is an interest in retaining a specific mention of network weaving in the title of…Read more

    • Good morning Hilda,

Thank you for the update and your thoughtful consideration around combining the groups. I agree that clarity in language is crucial to avoid any confusion, especially with similar terms used in other areas like Human Factors. I also support the idea of retaining a specific mention of Network Weaving in the title, as it helps…Read more

      • Hi Krishna

Super thanks. I wonder if the next steps are

        (1) How many SIGs have a focus on network weaving and who convenes each of these
        (2) Understanding how many people may be members of multiple groups with the same theme
        (3) Seeking support from the Q team to create space to discuss and explore ideas and set a date for same and get it in the…Read more

    • Hi Hilda,

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I will connect with Joriam to discuss the possibility of setting up a poll and organising a date for the Q calendar. I’ll also reach out to Tarnia to explore this further and ensure we get the necessary support from the Q team.

I’m happy to be part of the working group and help plan how we fac…Read more

    • Super, thanks so much. I see Maria has posted a comment also around involving the third sector networks. I think the first step is clarity on what we want to achieve initially which is why a short life working group would be a good place to start, so thank you for your enthusiasm.
      Kind regards
      Hilda

    • I think combining the two groups would work well, network weaving is one of the tools that fits into this group so the purpose overlaps a lot.

    • Hi Jo

There definitely seems interest in this, we are exploring having some kind of poll/discussion so will keep sharing developments in this space, as think if we can capture views/have a conversation not only could we combine groups but work on what the focus of the new combined group is
      Have a great weekend

About this group

Following the Network Weaving learning series, we are proud to share a contextualized suite of resources co-produced with members of the Q community. These invaluable resources are now available in the document section of this space, alongside comprehensive reports detailing the journey we undertook to reach this point. This collaboration has been a testament to the power of collective wisdom and shared experiences in driving meaningful change.

For those looking to build intentional networks, we invite you to explore the materials available through the following link: https://www.copescotland.com/resources?category=Creating%20Intentional%20Networks. These resources are designed to foster a deep understanding of network weaving, enabling individuals and organizations to create robust, value-driven connections that enhance healthcare improvement and promote well-being.

This space is dedicated to providing access to these materials and facilitating the exchange of ideas and resources that support collaborative efforts. We encourage related Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to contribute and engage, enriching our collective knowledge. Additionally, our Community of Practice offers a platform for those interested in meeting, learning, and sharing with peers. Together, through dynamic and innovative collaboration, we can drive sustainable healthcare improvements and cultivate a community grounded in kindness, integrity, and shared learning.
