    Hi all.
I’m afraid I am unable to make the meeting today. I have one comment which I was reticent to make because it is unpleasant to rain on a parade. I do however have one thought on this project which has been nagging at me for a little while, and I raise it in good faith, and as an honest point for discussion. It relates to the concept of w…Read more

    • Thanks Will
I agree tackling both is ideal. I read somewhere though that inhalers account for 3% of the NHS carbon footprint (others will know more than me about this), so that does seem pretty important.

    Hi Sonal,
Thank you for your interest. Yes it is certainly a challenge. The new NICE guidance recommends very little for primary pain, but we may feel pressure to prescribe when it feels like there is no good alternative. There is, however, a mounting body of evidence for successful interventions focused on health education and alternative…Read more

    Hi Louise,
That is great. The three most recent episodes of the podcast are all about long term pain. I would be very interested in your insights to the content as a HCP with lived experience.

It is designed to address mental and physical health in a sin…Read more

    • This is brilliant Will – great to see that you have some momentum behind this work now, and that it is being worked on as part of the National Clinical Entrepeneurs programme. It struck a chord with so many of us – will try and make the 14th June meeting!

    • Hello Will, I am very much interested in taking part in your programme. As a mental health practitioner for over 15 years and someone who suffers with long term pain management I look forward to contributing in anyway possible.

    • Hi Will, I’d be interested to know more about this. Reducing opiate prescribing in chronic pain is high up the agenda but I am concerned about ensuring we can offer people an alternative to support with their self-management.
