I'm a doctor and teacher, specialising in palliative care and online clinical education.

As a clinician I can care for a limited number of patients. As an educator I can increase this number exponentially. I think of it as being like a candle - the flame from my candle can light many more and the brightness is stronger.

I'm great at using education to ignite curiosity and empower people to make changes in their own communities of practice. My learners have gone on to develop services, improve access and engage with under-represented groups.  This was recognised when I became Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
