Hi all,

Super excited, this morning myself and Kate Philips delivered the first of five of our QI Summer series sessions to almost 90 attendees via the WEAHSN QI Academy. The most I have ever delivered to in the ‘good old day’s’ of F2F has been about 30-40, so this is incredible.

Between now and Aug 26th, we are delivering weekly 2 hour virtual QI training using zoom. Each session is covering a different aspect of QI.

The purpose of these sessions is to firstly teach QI online when F2F is limited, secondly to test out online tools (slido, jamboard, ideasboardz) to make the sessions as interactive as possible and thirdly to provide a safe space for fellow QI peeps to practice delivering online.

As true ‘Improvers’ Kate and I are capturing and evaluating our learning as we go along. We will be sharing all our reflections with you all and wider still, as there is nothing better than sharing and learning together.
We have learnt so much already, about how to plan sessions in advance, identify the various roles to facilitate a session and how to keep attendees engaged. We have used a lot of liberating structures to help with this and so far the feedback as been great 🙂

There are not many things I have enjoyed about the pandemic, however learning to deliver QI online has been a steep and exciting learning curve.
