A doctor and experienced senior NHS manager with nearly 25 years’ experience in Board level posts as a director of public health, medical director and chief executive.  Trained as a VMI certified RPIW leader & in Toyota methods in Japan and led the North East Transformation System. Experienced executive coach and OD practitioner who in the last 10 years has worked with over 20 chief executives and Boards (NHS and other statutory & third sector) supporting their development to be improvement champions and sponsors.  Has experience leading national, regional, local system and organisational programs.   Recently retired as the director of the Cumbria Learning & Improvement Collaborative, now works as an independent consultant, including as an Executive Sensei on the NHSI Vital Signs Programme
