Clinical Pharmacist by background, I spent 7 years working in acute NHS trusts in the South of England along with time spent working in community pharmacy. Previous roles include time spent working as an elderly medicine, frailty and stroke specialist pharmacist, Electronic Prescribing lead pharmacist, Patient services lead pharmacist and Medicines Safety Officer (MSO) at a large acute teaching hospital. The experience gained through the above roles steered me towards a Darzi fellowship with Health Education England, Kent, Surrey and Sussex working on the wicked problem of "retention" of our health and social care workforce, exploring in depth how we make health and care the “best place to work”, and how we use digital technology to co-create solutions and drive innovation. Post Darzi fellowship, I have recently joined the Health Education England, London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Pharmacy Team to focus primarily on pharmacy workforce transformation and quality of pharmacy education and training across the London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex regions. In addition, I am one of the lead organisers for TEDxNHS 2019.
