Hi Joanna. the challenge with MS Teams is getting people in and out of groups quickly.. You can create proxy “breakout rooms” by putting links to separate MS Teams meetings in chat. That works well but is a little clunky. I think taking a 1,2,4 all approach would be tricky. I tend to opt for Mad Tea with some starter prompts. ie A…Read more

Do you do that in small team / break out rooms? Looks great and Miro is a great platform. thank you

  • Virtual MR Potato Head. I came across this on Twitter from @OxleasQI. It uses a word document in virtual breakout rooms with a blindfolded potato head maker being given instructions by the team to build Mr Potato head. I have never tried this with group, but it looks interesting. Thanks to @JillianOxleasQI for sharing.

      Thanks again.
      Julia

    • I would second the suggestion of simple polls for large groups. Something else I have seen tried is typing your name or how you’re feeling today into the GIF searchbar and sharing the first GIF that appears.

  • Thanks for sharing this. It is a wonderful helpful Zoom guide,. I tried something new today; putting people into Zoom breakout rooms as they arrived so they could have some little informal chats and catch up. It seemed to go down quite well. To start with, I let participants into the main room as they arrived, said hello and told them I…Read more

I think this is a big challenge. The coin spinning could work well. It will be interesting to see if how it lands on a virtual session and how interactive it can be. If only someone could invent a virtual Mr Potatohead…

Hi Lou, I have been approached to run a couple of online workshops about online workshops for Gloucestershire. We have dates in the next couple of weeks. The workshops are about giving people some support, confidence and ideas to develop online training offers. Not sure if you might be free and able to join? I know you are doing some great…Read more
